Since that first photo, he has photographed more abandoned farm houses, barns, schools, churches and other rural areas. Each site had its own story to tell, but they are often similar to other circumstances in rural areas. The stories were basically about struggle and independence. Many of the stories were about farmers and especially about their greatest adversary, the weather: drought, floods and wind each destroyed many of the farmers' crops.
